We aim to be one of the best espresso bars in the world, through our partnership with our roasters
Caffènation, based in Antwerp in Belgium. The latter is recognized as one of Europe’s best
independent specialty roasters. But this is all blahblah. Especially at 8 in the morning.
To paraphrase Duke Ellington, “if it (tastes) good, it is good”. It’s our goal to make your coffee taste
as good as possible.
If you really would like to know the nerdy stuff, we use a La Marzocco Linea Paddle, an Anfim Super
Caimano named ‘Arthur’ and an Anfim Caimano named ‘Martha’. We also have a 1970’s Mahlkönig
Guatemala. It won’t win any beauty contests, but it sure does grind a 250g bag of beans in record time.
We change all our coffees virtually every week. Our espresso is always single origin microlot.
We have a blend roasted for milk drinks. And we have between 2-4 single origin coffees for filter (V60
and Chemex – no batch brewers).All seasonal coffees. With silly names.
We look forward to meeting you. Just one thing though. Please avoid using the words ‘flat’ and
‘white’ in the same sentence. Ordering a “café crème” will get you brownie points (it’s a caffé latte
with a double shot ristretto). And remember: “latte” means “milk” in Italian…
